MITO RISING Perspective 05

Inflammation Is Not the Enemy

It becomes harmful when recovery fails.

Inflammation is one of life’s oldest survival strategies.

Without inflammation,

a wound would never heal.

An infection would never be contained.

Damaged tissue would never be repaired.

Inflammation exists

to protect,

to restore,

and to recover.

It is not the enemy.

The problem begins

when inflammation cannot end.

When the signals to resolve inflammation are weakened,

protection becomes persistence.

Repair becomes damage.

Recovery becomes exhaustion.

The danger is not inflammation itself.

The danger is

the loss of recovery.

Chronic inflammation

is often a sign

that the biological network

has lost its ability

to return to balance.

The immune system,

the nervous system,

metabolism,

and mitochondria

can no longer coordinate

the transition

from defense

to recovery.

The future of medicine

is not simply

to suppress inflammation.

It is to restore

the biological capacity

to resolve it.

MITO RISING Perspective

Inflammation is not the enemy.

It becomes harmful when recovery fails.
